วันนี้ (15 ตุลาคม 2569) ประเทศไทยจัดกิจกรรม “Muay Thai Showcase by THAI FIGHT” ณ ศูนย์การประชุมแห่งชาติสิริกิติ์ กรุงเทพมหานคร เนื่องในโอกาสการเป็นเจ้าภาพการประชุม 2026 IMF-World Bank Group Annual Meetings เพื่อเผยแพร่เอกลักษณ์และมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมไทยแก่ผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมจากนานาประเทศ โดยมีนายเอกนิติ นิติทัณฑ์ประภาศ รองนายกรัฐมนตรี และรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการคลัง นายวิทัย รัตนากร ผู้ว่าการธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย และผู้แทนระดับสูงจากภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน รวมถึงผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมจากนานาประเทศให้เกียรติร่วมรับชม

ภายในงานนำเสนอการแสดงกลองศึกไทยผสมผสานท่วงท่ามวยไทยอันทรงพลัง ก่อนเข้าสู่การแสดงมวยไทยโดย THAI FIGHT พร้อมถ่ายทอดความงดงามของ “พิธีไหว้ครู” ซึ่งสะท้อนความกตัญญูและการเคารพครูบาอาจารย์ ตลอดจนคุณค่าของมวยไทย ทั้งความกล้าหาญ ความมีวินัย ความเคารพคู่ต่อสู้ และความมุ่งมั่น ให้ผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมได้สัมผัสมวยไทยในมิติที่เป็นมากกว่ากีฬา

นอกจากนี้ ยังเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมได้ร่วมเรียนรู้และทดลองฝึกทักษะมวยไทยอย่างใกล้ชิดกับ แสนชัย พี.เค.แสนชัยมวยไทยยิม (นายศุภชัย แสนพงษ์) ยอดนักมวยไทยระดับตำนานที่มีประสบการณ์บนสังเวียน THAI FIGHT มาอย่างยาวนาน สร้างสีสันและบรรยากาศที่สนุกสนาน พร้อมเปิดประสบการณ์ให้ผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมจากนานาประเทศได้สัมผัสเสน่ห์ของมวยไทยด้วยตนเอง
กิจกรรมดังกล่าวเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการนำเสนอศิลปวัฒนธรรมไทยควบคู่กับการประชุมระดับโลก สะท้อนบทบาทของประเทศไทยในฐานะเจ้าภาพที่มุ่งเผยแพร่อัตลักษณ์ ภูมิปัญญา และมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมไทยสู่สายตานานาชาติ พร้อมสร้างความประทับใจแก่ผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมจากทั่วโลก

 
Thailand Showcases the Art and Cultural Heritage of Muay Thai at the 2026 IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings
BANGKOK, October 15, 2026 – Thailand showcased the distinctive art of Muay Thai to an international audience through the “Muay Thai Showcase by THAI FIGHT” at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, as part of the 2026 IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings, highlighting the national martial art’s cultural significance and values of gratitude and respect.

The event was attended by Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance; Mr. Vitai Ratanakorn, Governor of the Bank of Thailand; senior representatives from the public and private sectors; and international participants attending the meetings.

The showcase featured a dynamic performance combining traditional Thai war drums with powerful Muay Thai movements, followed by a Muay Thai demonstration by THAI FIGHT. A highlight was the traditional Wai Khru ceremony, which embodies gratitude and respect for teachers and masters. Through these performances, the audience experienced Muay Thai as more than a combat sport, but also as a cultural heritage that reflects courage, discipline, respect for opponents, and perseverance.  

In addition, participants had the opportunity to learn and experience Muay Thai firsthand under the guidance of Saenchai P.K. Saenchai Muay Thai Gym (Supachai Saenphong), a legendary Muay Thai fighter with extensive experience competing in the THAI FIGHT arena. The interactive session added excitement and energy to the event, allowing international participants to experience the unique appeal of Muay Thai up close.  

The showcase formed part of Thailand’s efforts to present its arts and cultural heritage alongside the global meetings. It highlighted Thailand’s role as host in sharing the nation’s identity, traditional wisdom, and rich cultural heritage with the international community, while creating a memorable experience for participants from around the world.
